Jam is a fast-growing mobile technology company focused on direct carrier billing and mobile value-added services. We partner with mobile network operators and aggregators across multiple markets to deliver seamless digital content experiences directly to consumers.
As we scale, we are looking for a UI/UX Designer who can create intuitive, clean, and engaging digital experiences for our products. This role is ideal for someone who cares about both user needs and business outcomes, and who enjoys turning complex workflows into simple, elegant interfaces.
Role Overview
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to design user-friendly experiences across our web and mobile products. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, translate requirements into design solutions, and help shape the overall product experience.
The ideal candidate is creative, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on products that serve multiple markets and user types.
This is a full time, on-site position based in Colombo 5.
Key Responsibilities
Design intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
Create wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
Translate product requirements and business needs into clear user flows and interface designs.
Work closely with product and engineering teams throughout the design and implementation process.
Conduct or support user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis.
Improve existing product experiences by identifying usability issues and proposing design enhancements.
Design support materials for services such as web banners and social media posts.
Maintain design consistency across products, features, and screens.
Contribute to and help evolve the company’s design system and UI standards.
Collaborate on product strategy by identifying opportunities to improve user engagement and conversion.
Prepare design handoff documentation and support developers during implementation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, product design, or a related role.
